I have 2 pair of Wood Ducks and they are both using the same nest box. I have 3 boxes set up in the aviary. I would guess that there is not much I can do, but does anyone have experience with this? One of them has started lining the nest with down, and 9 eggs were in the nest yesterday.

I wanted to let them set but I would guess that this will not end well?

They do this in nature too it's called egg dumping. One of them will likely take over the nest box and the other will wander off as if nothing happened.

Thank you. Both are setting in their own boxes now. The first one should hatch this week. I was going to let the hen raise her own ducklings, but I was wondering if anyone has experience with this. I often let the mallards raise their own, but I have had bad luck leting Cinnamon teal raise theirs. This is my first time with Wood ducks.
