Wood Fences, Goats, and Sheep

Yeah, I know all about keeping goats fenced in...well, more or less. The picture is just a general idea. I'll keep the boards close together and have the first board close to the ground. I was thinking about 4 or 5 boards going across for a 4 1/2 foot fence.

So any ideas from anyone regarding the size boards and type of wood? Also is an electrical line absolutely necessary?

If you put that many boards on a fence, you wont be able to afford the goats anymore.

you still need to run a life wire up top...
Some goats will use the boards as spring boards.
