What is wrong with simple, latex exterior paint? If you are not picky about color, you might even be able to get some for free from your county dump. Or check out the Habitat for Humanity Store in your area (Often called Restore). They have paint that is cheap, but you might not get a color you like. Latex paint, when dry is completely non-toxic.
