I have a barred rock and ee that will be 17 weeks this coming week too. We have no eggs either but the barred rock has been nesting lately so i'm hoping maybe in a couple of weeks.
Way to go cleo! How old are your's now mudhen?

These six are 22 weeks old today. (2 Buff Orps, 1 Partidge Rock, 1 Australorp, 1 Easter Egger, and 1 Barred Rock).

The one that started laying first is the Partridge Rock, and the only way I know it was her is because she was so proud of herself she started talking almost nonstop! She even jumped on my shoulder the day I found her first egg, and she isn't the cuddly sort. She just stood there and talked about her whole experience as I gathered her egg and tried to get a thank you in edgewise.
