I'll give mine some leaves as well once we get their real run built. I'm pretty sure that the apple tree in the front yard dropped all it's leaves at once.
Keep an eye on them, if they get rained on they may pack together and get nasty.And I managed to get a nice pile of leaves in the run![]()

Mixing some larger stuff, can really help
Luckily I don't have to rake leaves here.I just raked up my first pile of leaves too, never a reason to waste those tossing them in the yard waste bin.
Dry leaves definitely shred more easily! the dry brown ones have been processed by the chickens but the reds and yellows are stubbornly intact.Only if they get nice and dry do I bother gathering any of them.
