Are sand hills ducks good quality? I personaly will stick with holderreads from now on.

Most if not all breeds are rare on their website that they have for sale and I'm pretty sure almost almost all the duck breeds they have for sale are from Holderreads.
The reason I want to order from them is because they aren't that far away and I get very paranoid when I get birds that are in shipping so ordering ducklings from Oregon would put me in a very paranoid mood especially since they would be coming all the way from the West Coast!

Ohhh, I see. I ordered from metzer farms and their in CA, no problems there. But I know exactly how you feel, I felt that way when mine came from CA.

Its awesome that you're getting birds from Holderreads! The birds are just AMAZING! I ordered from him last year and the service was amazing and the birds are just perfect! I'm ordering again this year

I'm so excited! I'm getting 2 top show quality pairs of Pomeranian geese and 15 more welsh harlequin ducklings (TSQ)!!! I can't wait to get them

I'm still kicking around weather it is most prudent to buy Holderreads fancy goose mystery package, or Metzer's fancy goose mystery package. Metzer lets you order pairs that way... Holderread doesn't

Just trying to decide if it's worth taking the straight run gamble. On the one hand the entire point is to "try on" different breeds and see what I like... at least I know for sure Holderreads will be premium examples of the breeds. Hard to resist slipping in some ducklings too while I'm at it!

Sometimes packages don't got in direct routes though, when I have shipped hatching eggs before to states up above me, id track the shipment and see that the package had gone down to a sorting facility in florida which is below me, before they were sent back up above me to the state they were going to.

I was just going to wait till spring to place this years order and go with metzer because i have another Gift certificate but all this talk about TSQ harlequins,silkies, etc has me wanting more. I still haven't gone christmas shopping...hmmm.... maybe my money just might disappear somewhere in the house and re-surface come ordering time. lol

I only buy my brother and my sister christmas presants cause im broke! But my dads still giving me the $100 and my great grandma is giving me $50 and my grandma is giving me some, so I will have lots! I cant make up my mind!, should I get 5 silkie ducks? That way I will have more hens? Oh im so excited! Can you place orders this year for ducklings for next year? I wish they had a 2 geese minimum (spelled that wrong) I really want some americans

do they sell geese this time of year??​

If by next year you mean 2012 ( I don't call it next year since its only a couple weeks away) then yes you should place your order asap so you can get in line before they are sold out. And the geese probably aren't even laying this time of year so I doubt they sell them now, there are shipping dates listed on the site.

Oh and they may let you order 2 geese since the number of ducklings is outnumbering the number of geese by a good bit, two goslings my be fine without worrying about them stomping the ducklings.
