I am about to get back yard chickens and I noticed where I am going to put my chicken coop there was 2 woolly bear caterpillar. Does anyone know if they are poisonous to chickens?

Okay thank you for answering! That's a good question.
I don't have the answer.
What I have observed with my chickens is that they avoid what hurts them/makes them feel sick.
What I have observed is the little guys (young ones) aren't that interested in bugs or grass or treats until they reach the 5 week or so mark. Each batch of babies I have is a little different.
If it's a concern, remove the caterpillars. Just relocate them elsewhere.
ThaThey are poisonous, in general... I don't know how poisonous to Chickens.

ONot too bad but the chickens don't really like eating them might taste nasty, might be the fuzz.
