Sometimes I don't eat the first egg, if it's really tiny. Then I SAVE it! At least the blown shell.

the only time most folks dont use first eggs is for incubating--the pullet eggs are much smaller and less likely to be the "best" choice for hatching
Also, after worming or on meds-10-14 day time frame where it is heavily suggested not to eat or sell or incubate

My cats got my first two eggs because they were out in the open..maybe I should have kept the one that was in her bed at least

Thanks just wanted to double check, the 1st egg was lovely & really yolky, since then we have had 2 more (3 in 5 days) and they seem to be getting bigger each time, hoping my 2nd pullet starts laying soon aswell.
