we broke down and ordered one last shipment of chicks for the year, probably for forever.

the last two times we ordered from Ideal the chicks got here the day AFTER shipping, so hopefully they'll be here tomorrow!!!

we ordered 7 assorted D'uccles(hoping for atleast ONE pullet LOL)

4 assorted frizzled cochin bantams

6 assorted standard pullets

AND I think theres gonna be a Cayuga pullet ducklin too!

I let Becca decide whether I got it -_-

WOOT for fuzzy cuteness!

the little red one

it's funny, yet kinda irritating, I'm having a hard time telling the cochins from the D'uccles, then I remember that the cochins are gonna be tiny, cause they're bantam, so I look for the round bodies and heads of cochins.

yup D'uccles be bantams

LOL

I'm some of these here D'uccles are PULLETS, our Self blue D'uccle roo says he's getting right lonely

I am not an experienced "chickener", so take this with a grain of salt, but that mystery pullet looks like my australorp girls when they arrived from Ideal. They are supposed to be very mellow birds and great layers, plus quite heat-hardy.
