I had a 105 degree heat spike in the bator for an unknown amount of time, probably around a couple hours though. I checked the Muscovy eggs and most look just yucky, no veins anymore and no movement. I dont know about the Pekin X eggs i have in there, giving them a little longer before i toss...amazingly enough though, I had 2 chicks of a friends hatch out so maybe theres still hope for some, but im really disappointed about the scovy eggs

ETA: I checked the eggs the night of the spike & most looked yucky and no good but i decided to leave them in for a few more days just in case.

Awww, I'm sorry to hear that.

I think I may have lost my five serama eggs to a power outage on the same day I put them on lockdown, so I know how you feel! It's so disappointing.

May your future hatches go better.

I posted this and then decided to go re-check & clean out the nasty eggs..
All the chicken eggs that were left got tossed BUT..!!

with some light tapping I SAW A FLIPPER KICK!!

I checked the previously chunky-looking muscovy eggs and 3 are still good

also some of the Pekin X eggs are decently veined now, they were only in a few days when the spike happened and i really thought i was gonna have to toss them all...Looks like pebbles is getting some REAL eggs finally!

Now I have to really keep an eye on the leftover Muscovy eggs. I accidentally deleted the set date out of my scheduler, but at least i know theyre close.

I dont accidently delete...I just forget write it down in the first place...it kind of just adds to the suspense and the surprise as well.

The first few settings I had everything recorded, but the last few have just been a few eggs each time...and I know roughly the day I set.. But usually its just a toss up between 2 days...so if some or early or late, I wouldnt know.
I will certianly go back to recording everything again next spring though.
