Hello!

This little guy was moving a few days ago and I went to do one last check (day 18) and he’s not looking too alive anymore. I can’t see any veins, only bloody looking spots; no movement (today, the other three eggs all moved into position and he hasn’t). Now I’m noticing the air sac is getting grayish. I don’t want the egg to explode if it is dead and harm my other babies. Thanks!

These eggs are under a hen, btw.

If it was dead it would be smelly
They go dark and still for a bit as they are developing and they get very dark. Dont help them out let them do it themselves.

It looks alive to me, let us now if it hatches!
Unfortunately it must’ve been dead, because my hen kept kicking it out from under her. It still hadn’t pipped, no movement from the position it had been in for days. Everyone else hatched two days ago. Not sure what happened to it, but there were blood spots in it when I candled it.
