Work from home

How about child daycare? You've homeschooled, perhaps mothers would appreciate the extra stimulation their kids would get from your experience. Not that you'd be a teacher, but you would bring more to the table than most.

Have you talked to the bank? ask about making the intrest payment for a few months and delaying payment till the end of the loan?
Our bank used to do this at christmas time. You make the intrest and they add that payment to the end of your loan. The bank doesnt want your house they want their money they may work with you if you ask.

I like this idea because it could mean some nearly immediate income. Getting into any network marketing or pyramid thing is a debt, not income.

I got into candles, which wasn't too cheap, but then the economy dropped so they are not selling to well in our area. We get junk vehicles and sell parts. My husband doesn't do too bad. We went went from a business that Grossed almost 600,000.00 last year to my husband making $14.00 an hour and me not being able to find a job for 8 months. We lost 3 vehicles, a backhoe, trailers, etc. etc. etc. It's just material, so that wasn't anything that bothered me too bad. The only thing that I worry about losing is my home, but luckily my payments are not as high as most peoples. But, of course it's not the nicest either

But, it's home.

Hang in their, your going to make it.

I was also going to suggest home day care But see someone else has mentioned it.
I did it myself out here in Australia when my daughter was young. Being a single mum was hard and I didnt want to leave her at day care so I could go out to work. It was over ten years ago- and I was lucky to have some kids that needed overnight care too. We have government subsidised day care here- income tested of course- but it means that even the unemployed are entitled to day care at around $2 an hour while they look for work. Family day care possitions are in demand as some of our child care centres have huge waiting lists.

Cindiloohoo I hope you find some niche in the market- and manage to save your house. You sound like you have a real fighting spirit- and im sure that will help pull you through this hard time.

Almost lost my house also took a year to get it fixed. Went from $100k a year done to $12 a hour. I work, sell scrap metal, ebay what I can. Hell I will do anything for cash. I'm glad when I moved I bought a cheap house instead of what the realestate lady wanted us to buy. I have never been turned down for a job before now I have over 50 resumes out and nothing. Good luck to you hopefully things start headed back up.

WOW! Yeah a lot of folks are in the same boat! It's just a pain in the butt. I Ebay and sell scrap too. I don't owe much on my house...that's what ticks me off. We are 50/50 equity/debt! Now, I have to worry about losing it

We could have it paid off in 3 years with DH working consistently, but nooooooo, economy just HAD to take a nose dive right now!! LOL!! So, I'm just trying to salvage what I can at this point. Thanks for all the replies everybody! I have a few more ideas. My soap buisness may be picking up, I got a few other orders yesterday. I have a place to go buy some things to resell on Ebay this week. The store got a new shipment of merchandise in yesterday. I usually pull around $100 off of a load of stuff I buy from this place with a small investment....so wish me luck

I also have some metals to haul off next week. If I can just make it a few more months maybe construction will pick back up and DH will be back to work. Daycare is out of the question for me, I don't have the time, or the schedule for it. I am still helping my friend get her kids back and forth because she can't drive yet. Maybe the Dr. will release her soon, and I can get back on track to try to pick up some work in that area. I'm going to talk to some folks about a job today, a couple of prospects look okay, just not sure if they plan on hiring or dropping the position. Again...wish me luck!

Think of things that people want.

Soap works.
Organic is the "main thing" now.
Tupperware

And things you like to do.
