Well, work has started at the top of the garden for the chickens (not got them yet)! Ground levelled, and we have raised the coop to be off of the ground slightly. The coop was formally my daughters playhouse that she no longer uses. Door has been made more sturdy. Just need to get some wood to block up the windows, as I read that they don't like to much light, is that right? Fencing needs to be sorted then we can get our hens!
I don't believe too much light would bother them. The windows will need to be predator proof. Use hardware cloth (not chicken wire) to prevent entry but, allow ventilation.
