Work Wife/Work Spouse?!?

blessings to your current wife for trusting you and not being jealous and possesive.....sooo many women are jealous and insecure about their men having a female friend!

I know, mine was also! She always reminded me to take my BP meds (I worked night shift so I took them at 10pm) and packed extra because she and her husband didn't feel that I packed enough food for myself for a 12 hour shift. I must admit, one of the best Admins I've ever had. I would never eat a salad for my real wife, but I felt so guilty when she would bring one in, point out everything she put in it and remind me she grew it in her garden because it was "heart" healthy. Love her to death, but not like that. My x wife was insanely jealous and I never got that till years after the divorce... my current wife laughed and thanked her because she knew how to kick my butt in shape and my wife was taking notes.

Are Women really that manipulative? Or am I that easy a mark?

I was a work wife. My husband Was not at all jealous, but I was a work wife before I even met my husband. The real wife WAS very jealous!!! So much so that she really pressured him to not take me with him when he moved on to another company. I was cool with that but seriously she SO had nothing to worry about!!! I really cared about him and really enjoyed working with him but the idea of seeing him sans clothing -

But, she was jealous so we haven't seen each other in years.

My work wife would call my wife and they would both rake me over the coals when I did something. Real hard to get away with anything. She made sure that the other women left me alone. When I retired I got my first and only hug. Realy miss that one, but my wife only talks to her now. They are still good friends,I'm just a memory.

My husband has a female friend at work, (she's married to another guy at the same company.) They're both engineers and tend to like the same tv shows, so she usually stops by his cubicle chatting about what went on in their shows and they both used the same dog trainer, so they talk about dogs some. I don't think she fusses about what he eats or anything. I doubt he would tolerate that kind of mothering, anyway. I'm not jealous of her and I assume her husband isn't jealous either since he works with them both.

Well, my hubby had a lady friend at work and they would eat lunch together every day when they were on the same shift. They didn't go anywhere--just ate in the break room, and talked about this and that. I wouldn't go as far as calling her a work wife though....nobody gets to be called "wife" except me.....that's kind of a special thing we took vows for......
