it will be fine. My south Louisiana chickens have always stayed out of coop during daylight hours no matter how hot and humid it is outside unless it's storming, which will instantly cool a hot coop. My coops have a ton of ventilation but my chickens Wana run around and eat grass, and bugs

Sorry but that's a strong sign the coop is too hot.
My Florida chickens seek the open air, shaded coop for shelter from the heat when days are hot.
The shed coop we have with merely adequate ventilation (you would think it's a lot) also shaded, they don't shelter in there but go off and find other shade in the yard.
Chickens will show you what's comfortable, you just have to listen.

So do mine in Central NC. The coop is the coolest place in the yard even though it's in full sun all day because of the ventilation and the way I took advantage of microclimates in my yard.

What that drawing doesn't show is the airflow pattern on my property.

There is always a breeze rising up the hill out of the wooded area, to be caught by my wire wall in front, and there is a counter-current of cooler air descending the bank behind the coop.

Heat never builds up even on a day with no real wind because of the thermal currents outside and the chimney effect inside.

Im 40 and not at all new to chickens. Had many wrongs to figure out what's right for me over the years. Btw. I would have put vents at the peaks of the new build but brother in law opted against it

My chickens also free range during the day in a 3/4 acre 5ft fenced in yard btw. Yard has big live oak

I get what some are trying to say critically and all... but with added ventilation I think it's great for a couple of bantams! Or mama and babies for a time. Very cute design
