I'm building new call duck pens for my wife. The ones she has now are getting pretty old. I'm doing this all out of my head so I'm expecting a few headaches along the way. Last photo of the current cages.

I'm just curious as to whether they stay in hutches all the time or are allowed to forage on grass? I adopted two from a breeder who was keeping them in hutches. Mine now forage with my standard size flock and they love it!

It depends on the time of the year. When she's breeding them they stay in the hutch. She has 3 pairs. When it gets colder she puts them together with the other ducks.

Sides are up. Need painted and then 1x2 fencing.
