Gideon perked up. He knew that voice. He certainly knew that attitude. "Maude?"

Maude blinked, "How do you know my name?"

"It's me. It's me, Gideon." Gideon felt a purr rise in his chest. He was excited - and showing it for once.

Maude bowled him over, "I thought you were dead! Where were you you idiot! Why didn't you come back!"

"I tried. I got lost in the woods for while and then - you know what happened." The siblings entwined their tails.
