WORM BIN FOR YOUR CHICKENS AND GARDEN........

If your birds free range at all, they will be eating worms. I can understand that buying worms could come with parasites etc, but they are a significant portion of their diet when they range. You shouldn't over do it though, but I find theworm bin almost a no-brainer if you have chickens. Possibly a free food that will double in population every 2 months, free even better fertilizer than chicken poop, free garbage disposal, the list goes on. Instead of just giving them as treats, you can make little compost piles in the run and toss a few handfuls of worms in, they will scratch and frenzy over them.

I've been giving mine about 5-6 worms a day as "treats" for about a week and a half, and my easter eggers already know if I have a small blue container in my hand, it's worm time! They go nuts. One will jump up to grab it, then the others play chase, the worm gets swallowed, another one jumps and grabs a worm, the chase is on again! This repeats till the worms are gone.
