@dawg53 How do you figure they get in the eggs...out the vent and up the vagina...
...or do they travel internally thru organ walls?

One could make its way into the oviduct, then encased in shell. It's rare, but it happens.

We do too...couldn't have saved you the hassle, and egg withdrawal, of applying wormer.

It definitely was a living worm.

Probably a piece of chalaza or reflection of the camera light/lighting.
