Help, discovered a worm in one of my hens’ poo. Our flock is a mixed flock of 11 mature chickens, 16 chicks (11 weeks old), and two mature guineas.

1. How do I treat them?
2. Will it require me to separate the chicks for a different dosage?
3. Does it require egg withdrawal?

Looks like it may be a Cecal Worm, so you could use Safeguard Aquasol or Wormout. Using either one of these there is no withdrawal period.

If you want to medicate water and treat for Roundworms Only.
Use Levamisole Wormout Laying Hen Solution. You can find it at Jedds, instructions on dosing and usage is on the website and bottle.

Safeguard Aquasol© formula can be used. You can also find this online or possibly in feed stores. Instructions for usage is on the packaging and the Safeguard Aquasol website.

The Levamisole would be best to use since it wipes out all types of poultry roundworms. Give it to all your birds, dosage is the same for all of them including the 11 week olds.

Thank you. I saw Aquasol recommended in another post on here. I picked a bottle of it yesterday and got them started on it this morning. Question, after the five days of treatment - do I need to retreat in 10 days like other dewormers?
