There is so much controversy on this site about worming ,some say yes and some say never.i wished someone could give me a straight forward answer as what to use and how to dose about 8 hens.two of those hens have very bad diarrhea and very pale combs I am not a expert with chickens but that seems to me like worms.also one has stopped laying completely.i cannot see worms in droppings but I understand that is no clear sign.

There is no single answer, because every flock lives in a different environment. You can have your veterinarian run a fecal sample to ID any parasites present, and/or use the wormer of you choice and hope to hit the target. In the dark with a flashlight, look for mites or lice also. I didn't treat my birds for years, and then had mites kill three hens before I figured it out. BAD experience! Now I worm and treat for external parasites twice yearly, or if a problem occurs. Mary

I never have but I would if they are sick like that.

Hope my answer helped you and let me know what you did!
