Can anybody tell what kind of worm this is? I think my chicks may have worms...

Hi, birdlady 79. That is a dropping, not a worm. How are your birds doing besides that? What does their diet consist of?

Why is it pink like a worm? And ribbed? I have 1 who is underweight I think... She's a wellsummer... My problem child... They others are ok but a few are sneezing.... I've checked their faces , noses, eyes are clear... It's dry in coop so I thought maybe dust at first... But my problem child has puffed feathers... My BO did yesterday but ok today... Their poop is runny, dark milk choc looking with some matter to it and sometimes just runny and stinks...not like cecal... I've treated with Corrid 2 times thinking cocci... So it's either worms or a respitory inf of some kind I'm guessing...

They are eating fine... Drinking.. Went outside today on concrete.... I just can't figure this out... I bought safeguard and duramycin but haven't used either...this is my first time having chickens.... They eat ff and dry feed. Was using non medicated but just switched back to medicated... When my BO pooped earlier it looked like mush with air bubbles .. Then I found that worm looking thing when cleaning ...

Process of elimination is hard :(

Oh
That is shed intestinal lining. Worms are white/off white in color with the exceptions of gapeworms and gizzard worms. I can assure you that isnt a worm in your photo.

Ok Wheeww.... Thanks..... Now on to the sneezing? I feel like I'm driving myself crazy.... Could it be dust from the pine causing the sneezing.... I don't see any other symptoms besides runny poo and puffed feathers on 1.. My welli is underweight but you told me a while back her poo could be from internal damage, hers is normal now but the others are runny, no blood... Could her weight be from the internal damage? She is always one of the first to greet me to eat.... The rest seem fine weight wise...

I believe I mentioned that it was possible a shaving couldve been eaten, but we dont know that for fact. Tarlike looking poop could be a sign of coagulated blood due to an internal injury swallowing a shaving, also impacted crop or gizzard, but not diarrhea. Have you treated these birds with corid? If not, it might be best that you do.
Sneezing can be caused by shaving dust like you stated, feed dust, ammonia fumes from soiled bedding, pollen etc..
If there arnt any other symptoms related to a respiratory disease ie; bubbly eyes, runny nostrils, wheezing, gurgling, facial swelling...then it's not a respiratory disease, it has to be environmental.

Yes I've treated with corid twice..... I'm fixing to try sand on Monday instead of DL..which will be dusty as well but I think It will work out better for me .... Could the ff cause their poo to be runny?

How old are the birds and what type and dosage of Corid did you use? How long did you dose the water each time, and did you make a fresh solution each morning?

You should get medicated chick feed and a liquid dewormer ask your local feed store it takes 3-4 days but I would give them a week to be sure there easiest to treat when chicks

I have used corid twice so far.... My chicks are about 6 and 4 wks..... I was using 1tsp per gallon....I've started them back on medicated food but had to use non medicated bc I just finished dosing them Monday..... They've never been in grass so I'm thinking it isn't worms... But the symptoms sound like worms when you read up on it....like the poo being sticky and foul.... A lot of diseases mimick others it seems and it gets confusing...
