So Cbrock2 you may want to have a fecal test done to see what you may be dealing with, and get the wormer best suited for your area.I live in an area that has a pretty vicious kind of tapeworm, and poop samples at the vet have shown that my birds do pick it up. So I worm the ducks every 6 months with a tablet wormer that covers tapeworm, on the advice of my vet. Plus, I am pretty pro-medication (but not as a substitute for getting all the basic health care right - like a clean environment, clean water, good food, and a happy life).
Most birds will have some kind of parasite load but if it is low level and they are otherwise healthy, stress free and well fed they usually don't have a problem with it.
