Hi all, I am pretty new to this. I read that worming twice a year is needed for Ducks and Chickens. I have 6 Chickens and 4 Runner ducks, all between 1 and 3 months of age. My questions are:

At what age to you do the first worming?

What is best to use?

Can Chickens and Ducks have the same worming meds in the same doses if they are from breeds of similar weight?

Any other pointers would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know anything about deworming ducks, but I can help you with deworming information on chickens. I'd wait until your chickens are 5-6 months old before deworming them for the first time. After that, deworm twice a year. Two good dewormers for chickens are Safeguard and Valbazen. Both dewormers kill most or all worms, and should be relatively easy to find.
