Worming chickens

It does treat mites and lice, but it does not treat all worms. :idunno.

Dose is 0.045 ml to 0.9 ml per pound of body weight topically anywhere on the bird.

A five pound bird would get no less than 0.23 ml and no more than 0.45 ml.

So what would you recommend to use? the .23ML 0.9 ml makes zero sense to me but 1/4 teaspoon or eye dropper does. Never understood that kind of measuring.

I would recommend that you buy a 1 ml syringe, guess the weight of you bird, and dose each bird by weight. Think about it, how big is one drop? What I mean by that is one drop from a small syringe is very small, but a drop from an eye dropper could be huge. Does that make sense?

Yes...just looking for an easy way to do it. With over 300 chickens and 200 of them are breeders it takes for ever to go one by one. I was hoping to find a non-with hold kind of wormer but I guess I'll just do my ivomec like I have for years.

I have 7 hens they range from 1 1/2 years to 4 years they all have bad diarrhea and vet said get they have round and hook worms to get multi wormer with ivermectin the feed store said no and gave me safe-guard medicated dewormer (fenbendazole 0.5% and said divide it into 3 sections and give all the hens 1 section a day for three days. I did and three weeks after most still have it bad. I'm starting another bag and trying to give the same amount per her is this a good wormer or should I try something with ivermectin? I used Fenbendazole it worked. But all of them still have dirty bottoms with traces of diarrhea after treatment and the vet said no worms now so what to do about the diarrhea?
Did the vet check for coccidia and or a bacterial infection?
