Im new to raising chickens and I have about 4 broody hens right now that are taking care of eggs that will hopefully start hatching next Thursday.

I want to know if its okay to worm all of my chickens during this time and if the eggs are going to be okay to eat etc after I do this? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you soo much! I had no idea. So I can give them that instead of buying the wormer from Rural King etc?

Well it has always worked for me. But some people don't agree that pumpkin seeds actually worms the chickens. I know that DE will worm them and the pumpkin seeds always work for me but to be safe I'd either buy the wormer you were talking about or use DE.

Welcome to BYC!

While some of these so called natural wormers may work as prevention, they will not work on an infestation. So if you are dealing with very sick birds, you should use chemical wormers on your birds. Wazine takes care of round worms, Safeguard Equine Paste takes care of everything but tapeworms. Both of these need a repeated dosage about 10 to 12 days later.

Good luck and welcome to our flock!
