worming free range chickens

1. What's the best way to worm free range chickens?
2. Old hen has nasty vent - bloody, clogged, matted feathers. I cleaned it off with warm rag as good as I could. What else?

is she laying? could she be getting a prolaspe vent? try to soak her in a warm bath, it will relaxe her muscles and clean her up at the same time
