WORMING

Hi I have 3 week old baby chicks what age do I need to start worming them and where and what type of product do you recommend? How often should it be done. Also do I need to clip my chickens wings? Thanks

Good morning. There's no need to just worm. It's a good idea to get a fecal float test to find out if they have worms and it's important to know which kind they have before you treat. My dogs vet doesn't treat chickens, but they will send for a test. I test my flock twice a year, Spring and Fall.

Unless your chickens can fly out of their run or your yard, there is no need to clip their wings.
