Worms? *gross picture*

This morning I called the vet who specifies on farm animals and he said when I treat them with chemical dewormer I will never be able to eat their eggs again. :hmm
So apparently I have 2 options: NEVER eat my hens' eggs again after the treatment or cull the entire flock now. :hmm
Somehow I have a hard time believing that man.
Or could he be right??
You were correct he is uninformed by US standards. He might be correct if we are talking about EU Commercial poultry standards for eggs. I am not familiar with those in the least. Where do you buy your chicken feed? I would recommend calling the store and see what products they offer in the morning.

Cat, dogs, and chickens get the same dose of fenbedazole, so it's probably true for Flubenol. The product You want is 44 mg/ml flubendazole and the dose is 22 mg/kg for 2-3 days.

A 2.5 kg hen would get 1.25 ml 2-3 days in a row. The tube is only 7.8 ml, so one tube will treat two birds.

2.5 x 44 / 44 = 1.25 ml
