I’m sure this is worms, right? Now what?

Roundworms.

Fenbendazole (Safeguard liquid goat dewormer). Dose at .23ml per pound of weight orally once, then repeat in 10 days. This dose and timeline will treat Roundworms only.

Yes those are roundworms. Safeguard liquid goat dewormer or Ivermectin should help - worm everyone.
I am assuming I will dose the entire flock. I have a mama hen and her 9 three week old chicks in a smaller run inside the main run with their own coop inside their little run. Mama has been in there for all six weeks of brooding/hatching/raising. What do I do about them?
I have a bottle of Valbazen I added to my slowly growing chicken emergency kit. Is this medication appropriate?

Yes, I would use the Valbazen. Dose is 0.08ml per pound of weight given orally once, then repeat in 10 days.

Valbazen will take of them, other types of worms too. Worm the mama hen, wait until the chicks are 5 weeks old. Then give the chicks 1/4ml Valbazen orally to each chick. Repeat in 10 days.
I dont recommend Ivermectin for any of your birds.

I need to make sure I’m thinking this through correctly. If adult doses are .08ml /lb then a 3lb hen would need .24ml
Does this mean a 5 week old chick weighs 3lbs? 1/4ml is .25ml
Are these numbers accurate?

I give 1/2 ml to all my hens except the big fat Light Brahma hen and Large Buff Leghorn rooster. They get 1ml.
My EE's weigh about 3 pounds and they get dosed 1/2ml just like the rest of them. I've dosed 5 and 6 week olds 1/4ml, no problem. You're not going to overdose them. It would take a lot more than that to kill them.

Thank you! I feel better about it now. One more question. Which side of the beak do I place the syringe so I don’t choke them? I read it a couple years ago but I forget now.
