Worms in chicken poop!

Chickens get worms from constantly pecking the soil. They pick up the worm eggs and are swallowed, starting the worms lifecycle over again.
The only way to stop the worms lifecycle is monthly worming and rotating forage areas if they free range. Penned birds need regular monthly worming.
Anyone who says that chickens cant get worms or says chickens can handle a small worm load is misinformed. Not only do worms suck the life out of a chicken, they are constantly multiplying, contaminating the soil with their eggs, to be picked up and swallowed by other birds.
Tapeworm infections require a host in order to infect chickens, insects are the vector for tapeworms. Keep in mind that not all insects are tapeworm infected.
Hit worms hard and fast with Safeguard or Valbazen, they take care of the roundworms, praziquantel for tapeworms.
