I have to ask this question because I'm very curious at this point. Did you compare the "worms" in your eggs to pics of eggs with actual worms, like on this site:

I am not doubting you, just wondering if you could have mistaken the chalazae (two white "strings" that anchor the yolk) for worms? As you've already noted, worms in eggs are rare.

Hi Gritsar; many thanks for the info on the poultry site, I now am registered thanks to you. This site is terrific, i'll enjoy and use a lot of info. My stuff won't get started until May sometime, but I'm preping now.
