Worms in poop

Brand new here. We've been gone three weeks and the dog/chicken sitter did not Cleon out the poop trays. When cleaning everything out, my daughter exclaimed that there were worm in the poop. I didn't see them. Are these a problem for my girls or is that just what happens when you left the poop boards go that long?

Maybe, flies and such do propagate in feces. If you're seeing worms in fresh scat then the birds are infested and need prompt medicating.

I’ll check them out tonight when we get home. If they’re infested, is chicken wormer specific to the type of worm they have or do I just get a generic wormer? Cost is an issue but I won’t let them be uncomfortable.
