Worms or twine?

So, when I went out to do chores this morning, I found what I thought were round worms in a chicken poo nugget. I did a bunch of reading and ended up treating with Wazine. This afternoon I came and inspected the coop and the areas the chickens hang out and I can't find any other turds that look like they have worms in them. I also realized that the chickens have been pulling off the twine I wrapped their roosting bars in. I found one chicken with these hanging out of her butt.

My question: did I actually treat my chickens for worms or did I treat them for eating twine?

I'm guessing that's a question that will remain unanswered. :idunnoIf they had worms, they no longer do.
That's what I was afraid of. I've got 27 of them so I figured I would see more than just one chicken with worm tails, but who knows. I just followed that chicken for the past 45 minutes but then the rooster alerted and they all ran under the shed. When she came out she no longer had the tail of mysterious origin. I'll guess I'll inspect the coop in the morning.

Maybe you can help me. I definitely have round worms, and I bought a bottle of Wazine. I am putting it in their water but they say 2 gallons can treat 100 chickens I only have 35. I gave it to them this afternoon. Should I just leave in there for 24 hours and then dump the rest? The bottle makes it sound like they would drink it all but I have way less chickens, plus my waterer is a 5 gallon bucket with self filling cups so i think maybe a half gallon needed just to get to the point where it fills. TIA for any help you can give me.

Since this original thread is from May, I would suggest opening a new conversation. Tag eggcessive and Wyorp Rock to get quick expert knowledge.

You better check the date on that bottle of Wazine. It was discontinued years ago. I've used it long ago.
