Hi all

Asking about worms or parasites please. I have a chicken who has been poorly for a while. It started off with a worm outbreak in my flock, I bought flubenvet infused feed, left them with just that for a week, repeated a month later and all was well except for this one chicken. She used to be the healthiest one, the alpha, and now she just lingers in the background. Her comb is so pale.
i think she still has worms, or some sort of other parasite. Mites are a non issue since their coop is plastic, they have been treated for lice, and I put DE powder in their coop and on the birds monthly.
If she isn’t eating the flubenvet pellets, she will not get better. Is there some sort of oral medication, like a paste that you get for cats or dogs that I can put directly into her mouth? That would make things so much easier!
Ps. I also have one with suspected gapeworm (the place I got these chickens from should be shut down!!!)

I've never hear of wormer pellets. I use the wormer you add to water. I live in Aust. so I don't know what you have available in the UK. I know you there's oral wormer puppy drops that taste like Carmel here, maybe you could get puppy drops?

Will a vet do a fecal float for you? Without knowing if she is actually infested with internal parasites and if so, which species, you are just blindly treating her.
How old is this chicken?
I would stop using DE in any capacity around the chickens. It is a known respiratory irritant and doesn't prevent or treat disease or parasites.

She’s not even a year old. Same age as the rest of them. I’m just concerned because she looks very anaemic and her comb isn’t growing :(
I’m treating blindly at the moment going on symptoms. A fecal float will cost me at least £70 here and besides, all vets are closed apart from emergencies.

Yeah I have layers pellets infused with flubenvet. Got it off amazon. Yeah I was thinking of the puppy paste, sooo much easier. Sometimes medication won’t be approved for use on poultry but would still work. Worth asking!

You can use Panacur paste for rabbits, dogs, cats, and horses. It's 18.75% fenbendazole.
I bought some, can I have some guidance on dosage? I read the leaflet, but doesn’t seem right for chickens. Says 1 graduation per 2.5kg bodyweight but a chicken is much less than that, plus they have supercharged metabolism. How much should I administer?
