Am I hurting the environment by turning over logs and grabbing a handful of earthworms? My babies just started liking them and they come running to me now, they think I always have them in my pocket or something!

I know they can't have too many bc they need the nutrients from their starter feed too, I also gave them potato bugs today (the log fell apart and I gave them a few pieces of bark that were covered in them) but I really only care about the worms bc they make my garden grow :D

This is totally an unscientific thought, but I assume that for any worm I find under a log that gets fed to the chickens, there's probably 1000 more just under my feet that I left unharmed.

I'm not a big gardener nor earth-worm specialist though, so if I'm wrong, let me know ;)

Good enough school of thought for me! Lol the chicks decided today for the first time that I'm someone to run towards instead of away from bc of the worms. So needless to say, I like them being food!
