Worried about my shipment!

My chicks from McMurray were shipped on Saturday, and they were still not at the post office this morning. I told the postmaster I didn't care if the truck came in at 2 am, I wanted a call as soon as they came in, we'll see if he took me seriously lol! This is my first time ordering chicks, I am super nervous about them being on the road too long. I feel like they should have come today?! Someone calm my nerves?

That is so unfortunate. Did the hatchery give you a tracking number? Hope arrive ok for you.

Yes, I had a tracking, but USPS tracking isn't detailed and only shows when they arrive/depart checkpoints, and even that is usually late.

Thankfully though my chicks arrived this morning, on day 3 of shipping, 4 days old. All are healthy, as well as 3 extras! I am beyond excited. Kudos to McMurray, they not only sent my package of gro-gel I paid for, but also put some in the box, which I'm sure is why all the chicks were so healthy. I've had them at home for 10 hours now and everyone is eating and drinking and running around, even the little wyandotte that looks like a runt and kind of scared me for a couple hours with her lethargy. I will definitely be ordering from them again, though I guess getting chicks through the post is just an inherently nerve-wracking process!
