Worried again

My girlfriend was feeding the chickens when one sneezed on her hand. It got some liquid on her hand. She wiped it off. She told me about it a few hours later, and I went and looked at them. They were milling about like normal, and I think I heard one sneeze. None of them had dirty beaks or frothy eyes. My Sir PipPip though did wipe his head on the floor of the coop. This was too much. I caught him and inspected him up close. I noted no wet eyes or bubbles, and his nostrils appeared slightly ever so bit moist, similar to how a human's lips look right where they come together when healthy. Just a hint of glisten really.

I went inside stressed.

This morning I went out, and all beaks were dry, all eyes were fine. I noted this, on my beloved Sir PipPip, though, on the left lower dangly bit. It looks like egg yolk (there are no eggs.) and some has dried and flaked. It doesn't seem it came from his mouth or nose though. Did he injure it and is this just serous fluid or something?

I am just hyper sensitive to everything after my first flock got MG. These are nearly 2 months old and this is their first sign of anything. Closed flock, not free ranging them yet. Run is dirt, roost has pine chips. it can be a touch dusty, especially when they are flopping and darting for the meal worms my gf feeds them. Thoughts?

Try not to worry needlessly until you see some actual symptoms. The tiny bit of matter on the wattle could be anything. Occasional sneezes are normal and mean nothing more than a chicken clearing dust from their nares.

Take a wait and see approach. If you hear regular sneezing instead of a rare and occasional sneeze, then you may have reason to start being concerned.

I did the same thing, freaked out when Judy sneezed and flung snot when she shook her head. Did this for 2 days. Other wise she was normal. It was ONLY her. Long story short she was fine. It was clear snot no other symptoms I attribute it to all the dust from the wind. It did however inspire me to learn more about respiratory problems and treatments. I learn a lot on this site.

Agree with previous posts.
The spot on the wattles looks like it may have been a minor injury that has healed, just keep an eye on it.
