So recently we took our 2 year old hybrid dumpling to the vet for diarrhoea and lethargy. The vet thinks it’s coccidiosis and gave her some antibiotics while we wait for the result of her stool sample. The antibiotics is administered via a syringe; the vet showed me how and I also watched a bunch of youtube videos so I know you need to go either side of the trachea and behind her tongue to avoid getting it into her lungs. The problem is she is really wriggly so when I open her beak and get the syringe down she backs up and I’m worried the syringe may have moved forward and I might have got some in her lungs because when I pick her up her breathing sounds kind of wet? She didn’t act like she got any down the wrong hole after I gave her the medicine and breathing sounds normal when she’s on the ground but I’ve never had this problem with my other girls when I hold them. Her honks also sound deeper after I give her her medicine but idk I’m really scared it’s in her lungs and if I did is there any way to help her get it out I really don’t want her to die
