Worried

I have a hen that hasn't layed an egg in a few days now. She is acting as if she doesn't have the strength to stand up.She does but is slow to walk. Her appetite seems normal. Thought she could be molting, just not sure. Any ideas or suggestions?

Hens do take breaks from laying. Hens that aren't feeling well will also stop laying. Is it possible she hurt a leg? Without more symptoms it can be difficult to pinpoint what the problem is or if there is even a problem. I would give her good look over, and see if anything seems amiss.

Thank you. I don't think either leg is hurt. Like I said her appetite seems to still be good. I will just keep an eye on her. It's probably nothing (I hope) . Thanks again.

Usually if a chicken is eating and drinking it's a good sign. If there is something not right, there's not much you can do except to find a vet to take her to. I've had chickens look under the weather and than recover, so it's not always a bad thing.
