Worry - we're having a sudden 30 degree increase in temps to 110+

it just rained today and tomorrow is forecast to be THE muggiest and hottest day on record.

If I still had Slifer she'd be in front of the air conditioner...
No Slifer, no airconditioner this year, but I think Obelisk will be okay...
If you have a hose Judy, you can wet down a place for them to cool off...I might pour some water in one of the chicken wallows...

Tomorrow was supposed to be "moving day" for the girls. I may just keep them in a couple more days til the temps drop back into the 80's.

In this heat, my BO decided to go broody, and won't leave the coop. So I moved her nest in front of a window, and placed 3 fans in there, and make sure she has water.
I put a big block of ice in a basin of water every day, they love it.
I am also getting one of those misting systems, and I have hosed them down a few times.

I was just up that way this past weekend..in Chapel Hill for a conference. The heat was almost unbearable!! It's as bad down here in Charlotte. I'm hatin' this....
