Worst case scenario with continued incubation of infertile eggs?

It's normal, they might just be getting into position to hatch!!!

I have left questionable ones and I try not to candle all of them also expecially when they cost a lot so a few that may have died early or were scrambled in shipment stay the whole time until after hatch I have never had a problem with it. Now if it is oozing then take it out right away.

Candling does no harm until they start hatching. I've candled daily up to day 18 on eggs I really cared about. You just don't want to open the bator after you raise the humidity on day 18 or you could dry out the membrane and keep the chicks from hatching.

All of the eggs I start with stay in the incubator until hatching is done. I leave my eggs in the bator for 24-26 days. Will take chicks out when they are mostly fluffy. Have never had a problem with exploding eggs or rotten smell.
