worst chicken cross ever

i got 10 silkies from a hatchery hoping to breed them for my pleasure was just going to take extras to auction but all 10 turned out to be roos and despite the silkies best efforts the breeding program dos not work if all they have to breed with is my flipflops when im walking around the yard

I will say though that I had a hatch once where every egg that hatched ended up being a pullet.

Sometimes stuff like that happens.

What do you get when you cross flip flop with silkies? Fuzzy slippers?

Getting all roosters sounds like my kind of luck. I'm ordering all pullets this spring and hope I'll get at least one hen!

I used to hatch roos for a career. 9 out of 11 Brahmas I had were roos from the incubator. My broodies always hatch a majority of females. Now I know this is only chance.....but strange.

Hope you have better luck with your next batch (or buy older birds who can be sexed?)

My luck is a bit like yours. Out of the EE chicks I got at TSC, they all turned out to be roos except for the chick that I gave to my co-worker.

At least the one we decided to keep is pretty even if his tail feathers aren't growing in yet (he looks like a pretty ostrich now).

Cross a silkie with a flip flop and you might get "SLIP-SLOPS".

Could be popular, you never know. I had a friend whose Cochin roo raped her yard shoes at every opportunity. The eggs never hatched though.
