wort like lumps on one of my chickens

One of my chickens has developed wort like lumps on it's face and Comb I can't add a picture so can't show anyone Can anyone help? Thanks Jules.

Where do you live? It could be Fowl Pox.

I would quarantine that bird from your flock, the virus is the most easily spread through the pox sores.

Hi, I was wondering how you got on with the lumps. I live in Brisbane and today found wart like lumps on my two Australorps combs. The lumps do not look like pictures I've seen of fowl pox.. All my other birds are unmarked.

I have been that fmiggies pass it on :-( the worst one is looking a whole lot better now but still not laying

I have heaps of midges where I am - near coastal mangroves. I hadn't heard that though. But of course there's the mozzies. My girls' lumps are unchanged and the others haven't developed them. Mine haven't started laying so don't know if they would be off the lay or not because of it.
