My fellow friends of the feather, I come to you for some assistance! A local organization that I come to know over the past couple years is in the running for 50k from the Pepsi Refresh Grant Project.
This program serves at risk youth by taking them from the environments where they find trouble, and giving them time on a small farm where they tend a flock of Golden Comet hens and a heard of Boer Goats. They also tend garden plots to raise vegetables for cooking and learn skills for independent living later in life, they also learn fiscal responsibility from selling the eggs and produce at the local farmers market.
On-The-Rise has turned around the life of many kids and is very important to our community. The administrator has become a good friend of mine and has devoted her life to these kids and this program, and I'm certain this money would go a long way to filling the gap recently left by state budget cuts. Can you please help by voting daily?
