Would 2 year old hay

I have a barn full of hay that is about 2 years old. It is in a very well ventilated barn that is dry.

As I am getting the chicken run ready for winter, I am wondering if I can use the old hay on the floor of the run?

It has a metal roof & I am planning on putting construction plastic on the sides to keep the wind & snow out. Currently the ground is basically dirt.

Thoughts?
