Would a pullet lay one egg, then stop?

    Title sort of says it all. We (finally!) got our first egg about a week or two ago. Our approx. 7 month old Polish laid it. Of course, I live in the far north so our days are getting pretty short, but would she lay one egg and then just stop? The rest of our girls are considerably younger and no where near laying

    For goodness sake, one egg was like a tease! [​IMG]

    Yes, especially this time of year - with the shorter days. It does get better, I promise!

    My bantam EE's had just started to lay in Sept....and I've now had 6 eggs since them. They will come around - especially when the days start to lenghten (Dec. 21).

    yes she will do that, we went from 5 eggs per day to 1-2 per day .
