Would a spreadsheet for ratings record be better off-site?

There's some discussion of the idea of a ratings record that could also note negative feedback. Some folks have been burned by fellow BYC members and have felt badly about the inability to share the experience with others to prevent recurrence.

I proposed that a spreadsheet be publicly published that folks can post to that could also include non-BYC identification of the person with whom one did business and rate it- good or bad.

What does everyone feel about this? I don't trade, buy or sell, but feel like there needs to be some accountability here.

Take a look, and Mods, what do you think?

Great spreadsheet! I think this would be fair. This way we can make informed desicions on who we buy from. I would be very upset if I bought something and got burned when people knew that this was happening and did nothing to warn me. I would be mad at the seller and the other person/s that knew and did not share.

Anyone want to list some positive feedback so we can get it started?

Mods? Any objections?

Nifty-Chicken is currently working on a solution for feedback here.

I won't step on his toes and say more, but please rest assured that the BYC Staff is aware of the need for BST transaction feedback, with room for both positive and negative comments. We are actively working on a solution that will not only allow our members to make informed decisions before entering into transactions with anyone here, but also will reduce reports of flaming and fighting due to transactions gone sour.

Although the Staff has already taken steps to implement a feedback system, your ideas and input are certainly welcome during the process.

My thoughts on the issue are:

1. It seems unfair that the seller's personal details would be published but not the reviewer's.

2. What is to stop malicious or unreasonable feedback?

3. Are there any likely legal repercussions for the owner/administrator of the page?
