Would/do you kill a chicken to eat?

I would, but my DH says he wouldn't eat it....since I'm a vegetarian I guess that makes it not worth my while. So, we re-home them to someone else's dinner table.

Alright, I am sorry, but this is getting a bit ridiculous. Everyone has tried so hard to be polite to you. You sit here and talk about how this can be discussed politely...asking that no one cause problems. It is YOU who is trying to cause problems. Sorry, but why does SHE need your permission to eat any way she chooses? While some may make poor choices that isn't your concern.

luvmychicknkids, I agree with you 100%. I was getting just little upset when everytime someone didn't agree with wings there was a very near to snide remark. It was uncalled for everyone was answering I feel very honestly, and was being treated IMHO like they (we) didn't say what she wanted to hear they of course was wrong. I will also "boycott" this thread. Bravo for you, glad you said it. As it was what I was thinking everytime I read it.

and again I will say not every puppy in every petstore is the product of a "puppymill"..

the reason I sound grumpy about eating My chickens as opposed to Commercial raised chix is the public IS generally ignorant about what goes on in the raising/transport/kill of the chicken. I would hope some would then at least investigate where their poultry comes from and be compassionate in their choice. some just don't want to hear it because thats too hard to believe(that poultry raising could be rough) ? I would hope people wanting to purchase a pup from a petstore/wherever would research where that pup actually came from(DON'T ask petstore employee or manager) I love my tasty chickens and have a clear heart that they didn't suffer just to feed me.(I can say the same thing about "purchasing" my shelter dogs, etc)No I don't eat THEM.
