Would/do you kill a chicken to eat?

no,,,when our chickens are done layin eggs we give them away to who ever wants them.

any roosters I get will be processed when they are big enough. When the hens slow down to much with their laying then they will be in the freezer as well. I have always just thought as chickens as food. Either they are making food with their eggs or they are food with the noodles. Of course there's nothing wrong with it, but I have just never envisioned chickens as pets. Just depends how you grow up I suppose.

I would LOVE to get some meaties and butcher. I don't do it for 2 reasons. 1, I don't have the room and 2, I am afraid I would mess up and make the chicken suffer. My granny used to grab them and swing them around by the neck. I just can't do it that way.
